once again和once more的区别为：意思不同、用法不同、侧重点不同。

一、意思不同

1.once again：再次

二、用法不同

1.once again：主要用于修饰性动态动词，基本意思是“重复”，即表示动作又一次、再一次发生，重复发生，也可表示“重新”，即恢复到原来的位置或状态。引申可表示“回复”“反响”“响应”。

2.once more：表示在数量上“超过”某种程度，此时可接含有can的从句，表示否定，也可接形容词、副词或动词，表示程度，意为“非常”，还可接名词或动词等，意为“不只是”。

三、侧重点不同

1.once again：侧重于强调表示状态，或持续性事件。

2.once more：侧重于强调一次性行动，不一定是连续的。

once 和

when当……时候；正在这时（突然）if如果；是否once一旦……就；曾经；一次三个词后面都可以接从句when和if表示假设的时候，后面的从句谓语动词用一般现在时表示将来时如：We will go to park if it doesn't rain tomorrow.

once与if引导的从句的区别

once后可以使用一般现在时，也可以使用现在完成时。

　　1、once用作连词时，意为“一旦……就……”，用于连接时间状语从句，相当于as soon as。

如：

　　Once you start, you will never give up.一旦你开始了，你就不要放弃。

　　2、once用作副词时，意为“曾经；一度；从前”。它是一个不确定的'时间副词，其位置一般是在行为动词之前，系动词之后。

如：

　　Once he lived in America, but now he lives in England.他曾经生活在美国，但现在他生活在英国。

　　3、once用作副词，也可意为“一次”的意思。两次是“twice”，三次是“three times”，四次是“four times”。

如：

　　The old professor comes to see us once a week.那个老教授一周来看我们一次。

　　4、“once+过去分词”作后置定语时，可理解为“If once...”，具有条件从句含义。

如：

　　Such a thing once seen will always be remembered.

　=If once such a thing is seen it will always be remembered.
